Once upon a time, churches and social norms determined under what circumstances people should live, die, how they should mourn, and according to what rules they should inherit in order to maintain social security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-selbstbestimmung-als-selbstverstandlichkeit\">Self-determination as a matter of course<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, we arrange things more individually \u2013 we even have to because of our diverse lifestyles. The medical options available today are many and far-reaching. However, not every treatment is right for every patient, which is why each person should be free to choose which medical measures he or she agrees with in the event of his or her incapacity of judgement. Mourning rituals are often freely arranged. In addition, the forthcoming revision of the law of succession allows for more freedom regarding statutory entitlements. Social insurances have long since taken over a great part of the original function of statutory entitlement in inheritance law. Social insurance schemes have long since taken over the function of compulsory shares in inheritance law &#8211; namely, to provide security for descendants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>DeinAdieu encourages the Swiss population to exercise their right to self-determination regarding end-of-life medical, administrative, legal and other sensitive matters.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-eine-schweiz-in-der-drei-viertel-der-betagten-ihre-selbstbestimmung-geregelt-haben\">A Switzerland in which three quarters of the elderly people take decisions in the spirit of self-determination<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Only 20% of elderly people have a will. DeinAdieu encourages the Swiss population to exercise their right to self-determination regarding end-of-life medical, administrative, legal and other sensitive matters. We want to create a Switzerland in which three quarters of all elderly people formally record their self-determination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-bleibendes-uber-das-lebensende-weitergeben\">Passing on what remains over the end of life<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>DeinAdieu gives a voice to verified Swiss aid organisations: We would like to inform the population comprehensively about the possibility of a gift by means of a will. DeinAdieu wants to make this step easier for people who can look back on a happy life and would like to pass on something lasting over the end of their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-jeder-zwanzigste-vererbte-franken-an-ein-schweizer-hilfswerk\">Every twentieth inherited Swiss franc goes to a verified aid organisation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, only 3-4 per mil of the estate go to a Swiss aid organisation.
